作為 UU 聯會 (Unitarian Universalist Association) 的成員,我們立志肯定及宣揚:
1.
每個人本有的價值及尊嚴;
2. 人與人之間的公義,平等及憐憫;
3.
在我們的聚會中彼此接納及互相推動彼此在靈性上的成長;
4.
對真理及人生意義作出自由及負責任的尋求;
5.
將我們的良知及民主的方法實踐在我們的聚會中並將之推廣至社會;
6.
以世界上所有人及社群的和平,解放及公義為目標;
7.
尊重眾生的互存關係並肯定我們是這關係網中的一份子。
我們這個充滿生命力的傳統源出於不同的源頭,包括:
1.
在不同的文化中,不約而同地都有著對超自然事物及終極實在的直接體認,這些經驗帶領我們的靈性得以更新及獲得存活的創造力及生命力;
2.
先知及先賢的行為及格言鼓勵我們去以公義,憐憫及愛的力量抗衡邪惡的權力及制度;
3.
世界不同宗教的智慧啓導著我們去過道德及靈性的生活;
4.
猶太教及基督教的教訓指導我們以愛人如己去回應神的愛;
5.
人文思想勸導我們要重視理性的引導及科學的成果,以避免靈性及心智上的盲目順從;
6.

We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote:
1. The inherent
worth and dignity of every person;
2. Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
3. Acceptance of one another
and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
4. A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
5.
The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
6. The
goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
7. Respect for the interdependent web of all existence
of which we are a part.
The living tradition which we share draws from many sources:
1. Direct experience of that transcending mystery and wonder,
affirmed in all cultures, which moves us to a renewal of the spirit and an openness to the forces which create and uphold
life;
2. Words and deeds of prophetic women and men which challenge us to confront powers and structures of evil with
justice, compassion, and the transforming power of love;
3. Wisdom from the world's religions which inspires us in our
ethical and spiritual life;
4. Jewish and Christian teachings which call us to respond to God's love by loving our neighbors
as ourselves;
5. Humanist teachings which counsel us to heed the guidance of reason and the results of science, and warn
us against idolatries of the mind and spirit;
6. Spiritual teachings of earth-centered traditions which celebrate the
sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature.
Grateful for the religious pluralism
which enriches and ennobles our faith, we are inspired to deepen our understanding and expand our vision. As free congregations
we enter into this covenant, promising to one another our mutual trust and support.
